McDonalds Franchise Costs

Friday September 26, 2008
I see many franchise seekers interested in buying a McDonald's franchise but do not have the required capital to do so. McDonald's has been a franchising company since 1955 and has relied on its franchisees to play a major role in the system's success. Opening a brand new McDonald's restaurant is actually extremely rare. Most franchisees enter the system by purchasing an existing restaurant, either from McDonald's or from a McDonald's franchisee.

McDonald's Franchise Costs Snapshot:

  • $300,000 start-up capital- You need a minimum of $300,000 of non-borrowed personal resources
  • 4% service fee - A monthly fee based upon the restaurant’s sales performance (currently a service fee of 4.0% of monthly sales).
To find out all the requirements needed to open a McDonald's franchise visit: Requirements to Open a McDonald’s Franchise.
