What to Expect at the International Franchise Expo

Thursday April 3, 2008
The International Franchise Expo will be held April 11-13, 2008 at the Walter E. Washington convention Center in Washington, D.C. If you are thinking about buying a franchise I strongly recommend attending this expo.

The Expo is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. There will be hundreds of franchise companies, each in separate booths, ready to answer any questions you may have. I suggest you bring a pen, a pad and a bag or briefcase to carry brochures and other marketing materials. It is a very casual atmosphere. Although some franchise executives will be wearing suits, the majority of franchise representatives and attendees of the expo will be dressed in business casual attire.

I suggest you wake up, eat a big breakfast and arrive at 10 a.m. There are well over fifteen free seminars on Friday and Saturday and four on Sunday. To get the biggest bang for your buck, you should attend as many free seminars as possible while still leaving enough time to chat with many different franchise representatives.
